have you heard the news today from orlando
in fact, we have three people (aviators in the news) all getting the press, but steve is a bit left out! he just kept trying to kill himself and not others....
Nowak - trying to get evidence thrown out!
OJ Simpson - trying to get a real pilot's license from jail (he was copilot in Airplane films)
Fossett - they are still trying to find his licenses....but media doesn't have any evidence he is dead!
so let's three vote this trifeca thing,
vote for closure:
love crazed NASA
lover killer NFL
or our beloved daredevil, record setting STEVE!
Just comment below if you think we might find evidence on any of these three?

READ more bad aviation news
While getting my feelers out on this blog yesterday, the wire hit with this tragedy. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070915/us_nm/fossett_dc
I immediately thought to myself, these guys were looking for steve right! Or they are multi millionaire types that have to been flying in his honor after surmising the danger of Nevada?
They must have put off the races in order to form a search party for the greatest daredevil of them all? It's humanity that benefits from planes, not just thrill riders and barn stormers.
Or perhaps the need for faster and faster fun has become overwhelming enough to get all people to rethink this recreation? Does anybody see the pattern of airshow wrecks? Granted more folks probably die from riots at soccer games, but eventually one of these airshow tragedy deaths will spread into greater concern, like hitting a community of people.
It seems very pompous of aviators to burn that amount of fuel in the name of entertainment or thrill seekers camaraderie. Maybe it's just a temporal thing, but do we need cars going the speed of sound? Racing down low to Terra fir ma just a few hundred feet from death at 400 kph? Is it all about science, or advertisement, or just 'plane' commonsense?
Can someone explain the need for speed to me?
It's true that aviation is about quick travel, even Clyde said "Speed is the only reason for flying" but then he too lost one of his best friends and ace companion in exhibition racing during the Depression, which in turn retired Mr Cessna from racing.
My grandmother told me many stories of almost certain death from pushing the limits. I understand the deaths from shuttles and real scientific flights, but this modern day cowboy stunting might not be the in the best interests of the families and friends.
Please tell me I am wrong about throw back flying circus hot dogs and high horsepower wings at Reno or on the salt flats or anywhere other than the books of pointless fatalities!
I also remember that movie about a motorcycle racer who wanted to drive fast on the salt flats, Indian with Anthony Hopkins right? He pushed it at his age, but for pure selfish reasons. But then again, I would love to take a mouth full of salt in the name of macho, just give me the keys after I'm a senior citizen.
